Kristin Torres Mowat is an experienced leader in scaling healthcare and technology businesses. She enjoys a successful track record developing and implementing growth strategies in Fortune 500 and high growth startup environments. She excels at inspiring teams to address complex problems, creating and managing alliances, business development and developing talent across business functions.

She most recently served as SVP Corporate Development for Castlight Health. She built and managed the portfolio of medical, pharmacy, dental, and behavioral health plan relationships along with the data operations capabilities. She led Castlight’s efforts to grow through the company’s strategy, strategic partnerships, and inorganic opportunities. Previously, Kristin was vice president at DaVita Inc., a Fortune 500 and one of the largest global healthcare services providers. She was responsible for corporate strategy, started and ran Falcon EHR (electronic health record business), and recruiting for the Redwoods Leadership Development Program.

Kristin earned her bachelors in international relations and minor in human biology from Stanford University. After a consulting career at Bain & Co. and The Bridgespan Group, Kristin worked at Chiron Corporation before returning to Stanford to earn her MBA and JD. She serves as a Director on the board of Women’s Health USA, a leading business partner to women’s healthcare providers. Kristin brings her experience in strategy, corporate development, acquisitions, integrations, and business development across healthcare services and technology sectors to every team with which she works.

Ruth Shaber
Founder and President Tara Health Foundation

Ruth Shaber MD is the founder and president of the Tara Health Foundation, which promotes health, well-being and opportunity for women and girls through innovative evidence-informed programs. She is also the co-founder and board chair of Rhia Ventures, a group of foundations and investors that collaborate to bring new types of capital and enterprise to the field of reproductive health in the United States.Ruth started her career as an Obstetrician and Gynecology at the Kaiser Permanente South San Francisco Medical Center in 1990. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, she had many leadership positions at Kaiser Permanente including chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Director of Women’s Health and founder of the Women’s Health Research Institute. Ruth was the Medical Director at the Kaiser Permanente Care Management Institute from 2007 to 2012 where she worked with Kaiser Permanente’s regional and national leaders to apply the best evidence and successful systems approaches to create reliable clinical performance.Ruth received her B.A. from Yale University and her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania. SCA is one of the largest providers of outpatient surgery in the United States with a network of 230 ambulatory surgery centers in 35 states performing 1 million procedures a year. Joe’s previous leadership roles include President & CEO of HealthMark Partners, an owner, operator, and developer of ambulatory surgery centers and specialty hospitals, and CEO of Response Oncology, a provider of cancer treatment services. He has also held positions at Humana and American Medical International. Brian Sassi
CEO Professional Health Care Network

Brian Sassi joined PHCN as Chief Executive Officer in May 2019. Previously, Brian was CEO of the Consumer Division of WellPoint/Anthem, which was a $20 billion division of the company, overseeing Medicare, Medicaid and the Individual business units across Anthem’s 14 Blue Cross Blue Shield plans. He was also Executive Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Marketing at Anthem. Prior to those roles, he was President and CEO of Blue Cross of California. Brian has also held executive management positions at Premera Blue Cross, Provident Life & Accident, and Transamerica. Brian has also served on a variety of both for-profit and non-profit boards focused on health care, health education and human rights. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California State University, Los Angeles where he was Alumnus of the Year in 2007. He resides with his wife, Peggy, in Phoenix, Arizona.
